Videogames are time travel, they occur in an order of time setting which while technically any order can be used to estimate our own timeline.
They can be useful insights into ages starting around planet colonization all the way to magical fantasy worlds and past to stranger sciences and then mario beyond it although we'll say monster hunter the game was all the way back in the age before the dinosaurs.
The trick to using these tools as time travel is to play it and stuff in them from the logic of as though the flow in a timeline from one to the other, observing the rise and fall of the age as it goes. However their is a second useful feature of this method for time travel, it is collecting the ages insights and reaching them today, by realizing the age between them.
As I've gotten two of the keys of games lore that are real to now's response, by playing the games and learning some of its lore. Its true the lore was creatively chosen by the creator to simply fit the vibe of the game and was what happened to be used as art and background information. However theirs a reason those were selected when game created.
Its because the universe being described as the worlds setting fits the progression arisal of its landscape memetically, thus the ideas, art, themes and all of itself, reflect the age described which in some cases such as scifi games is set forward in time, so the inspiration reflects real future settings. These settings are however locked in that time period, by the lore between them not yet met.
To reach that time period in sense of real knowledge and technological capacity you need to know why the lore is like and exists like that there.
For example in skyrim the first puzzle of them all is two snakes one whale as the first thing in the first temple you do on the mountain, the key is dwemmer knowledge from before their age and it means one snake or another snake means nothing tp the door, a whale unlocks the door because its hidden unlike the other two, since the whale is bigger then two snakes in size. The snakes in relation to the bible present means their are two deceivers not one and the whale is sacred of the bible instead of the one or other snake.
The snakes represent the bible's deceiver and the quran's deceiver, because both disguised as snakes in the garden of eden, but one is a fallen biblical angel and the other is a jealous unbowing shatan and a djinn instead unlike lucifer.
The whale is found in both the bible and the quran, its said to be one of the largest animals in the bible it eats a man who lives inside it for 30 days, in the quran, Issah wants to see the cosmic whale and passes out for three days on seeing it.
The whale represents the scale of gods kingdom, as well as the scale of its protection from the sea. Among far more, however in the quran, their is also a snake far far bigger then the whale, this equally represents many things and simultaneously represents the amount of sin in the world compared. As such, the dwemmer used the knowledge of the two snakes and the whale, so know deceit of two and whale singular to the technology of their age.
Skyrim doesn't know that technology however. Since bible and qran, reject magic, for it is a sin.
Next I found out just recently halcyons colonies need diet toothpaste and use memetic math like I do.
Memetic math is the following, its used in the game and is located in the game the outer worlds in the roseway secret lab in front of the raptidon pens in tje lab on a computer as one of the messages end.

Memetic math was designed as a way to faster progress idea formation, model matter with its second numbered post on this blog and is equally a type of mind code, it was made before I found an unintentional reference to itself in the game outer worlds, but it served as confirmation of my hypothesis videogames are a time machine.

Since they base their settings of artists on imagined futuristic settings and dreams not in our age, which describe settings yet possible to humanity including fantasy, to which fantasy is a later future after space travel is complete. However, that is my hypothesis, since following my study of halcyon, is bioshock, given halcyon has you play a character with brain damage, that gives him a superpower.
After that rapture and its sequel, similar to the time warped past forward style of its civilization starting in halcyon like 70's and 80s vibes, end up in a reverse middle age from the final fantasy X collapse of technology somewhere in fantasy.
However in the same halcyon lab, you find out auntie chleo is making diet toothpaste, funny to you and the future and me at the moment of hearing because they don't remember why they switched to edible and now diet toothpaste.
I figured out why in the other post here about bathrooms thought. Its cause it isn't gonna make you fat and is better then nature as they put it in that company, which is better for survival, compared to their toothpaste and ours, because ours isn't edible like the rest of the bathrooms products and that my friends our bathrooms got to be so bad for you compared, its cause your granmother will look better then you when your her age for it. That stuff you put on your skin can't even be eaten, so its got to be bad for you.
So no I'm not showering and brushing my teeth, I'm gonna make chems better then nature and inspire auntie cleo and the dwemer of tomorrow.
More on why bathrooms are unhealthy here, it equally helps demonstrate how science can accidentally sell you time machines for cheap cash. Its cause sometimes skepticism and or faith are the two deceivers and snakes of the bible and quran.
Cause I guarantee the order of time goes colonization, bioshock, final fantasy X, skyrim, witcher, hyrule, xenoblade 1 and 2.
I'm gonna decide to disappear like the dwemer not use magic like jesus and real prophets said. Magic of that kind causes sorcery and that stuffs brutal.

Monster hunter is actually before all this, its very primitive pre caveman stuff though, from before we forgot it all and the dinosaur monster bones were used for tools so ended up being destroyed at some still unrecovered point in the line.
Bioshock goes after space travel, because they have early magic, but aren't as advanced as final fantasy X, which falls from Sin, which starts the fantasy genre from advanced quantum mechanics.
Bioshocks third game suggests their are many earths and that makes sense, given its thousands of earths on distinct planets so advanced they have flying cities and underwater ones. Paralleling each other as it morphs into flat earth super science final fantasy x and rest of final fantasy ages to skyrim.
It leads to the flat world beyond space by multiverse stuff in BioShock which final fantasy X stands on, but they are too powerful and sinful because they use magic and science but ignored the sacred and monotheistic side of it this is where all the surreal sci-fi is like the 1902 film a trip to the moon is.
However they fall to eldritch demons, which are different from demons and the eldritch of our age. Since they forgot the bible and right now too, as this age is the second roman empire if you've ever heard of the paranoid christians preclerics online.
Only the dwemer leave that age during the final fantasy period, since the characters look like hylians but not quite, they disappear and send the witchers mutating later, then the dwemmers return as the hylians in the legend of zelda after that age to restore a sacred order and fight the last sorcer, ganon.
Which personally I'm gonna avoid the mess up for myself with that and implement the sacred into my science and magic averence before that, so will regrettably be a necrocleric for this adventure as a saiterge emaphet. Cause I'll take the christians advice for the next thousand years, long before I go with what a second roman empire repeats thrice a thousand year later, so I get mario shite faster.
I'm gonna go the sacred averence pokemon subeast line to be safe and sound and and avoid the final fantasy and scifi loop genre.
Its also the most fundamental culturally native american spirit animal with christian fruit of life line of em all that I found anyways sifting the timelines, cause It has pet animals, doggo demans and humans and the whaleship that goes straight to xenoblade 2 atleast.

To be fair you could tell another timeline with these games, I picked this one cause its a bunch of repeating same issue in the need of being resolved before the fun of videogames themselves can be had, which actually started right here, not in what in videogames, videogames in videogames are often still way more retro then our age even close in comparison to our level over the timelines they're in.
Its cause you made all those timelines on screen so real time skipped ahead to after they were played and now looks for ages beyond those days and how they were back then.
I made my game for real though instead so I still got the fun of playing it before tomorowland.
